Suggestions for Counting Students on Day of the Event (choose one, plus counting bikes)

• Have an enrollment roster at the welcome table and mark off the name of each participant
• If conducting a raffle, have students fill out raffle tickets at your Walk/Roll welcome table and use raffle tickets to track participation
• Count empty sticker sheets
• Have a volunteer go to each classroom and do a hand raise count of walkers/rollers, or ask teachers to do a count (provide teachers with a form to turn in)
• Count bicycles on the bicycle rack that morning and subtract that number from the combined total to obtain the number of walkers only
