Frequent Walk And Roll
The Frequent Walk/Roll Program is a 4-8 week long contest where kids are incentivized to walk or bike to school more frequently, and to keep track of how often they do so.
Children are given a Frequent Walk/Roll card, and each day they walk or roll to or from school, their parent initials one of the stars on the card. Each card has 10 stars, so a student who walks or rolls every day will complete approximately two stars per month. However, even students who walk or bike to school on a less frequent basis may participate, as long as they walk or bike on a minimum of 10 occasions during the course of the program. Completed cards are tickets for an end-of-year raffle, or your program may be modified to offer a different incentive for students to turn in their cards Your program may also be modified to accommodate students who carpool or ride a bus to school.
If interested in implementing Frequent Walk/Roll, please download a program guidebook. Other available downloadable resources include a modifiable frequent walk/roll card template, parent letter template, poster template, and donation letter template.
