Encouragement Programs

Safe Routes to School Encouragement Programs are designed to inspire children and their parents to engage in active (i.e. walk, bike) and/or alternative (i.e. carpool, bus) transportation on their way to/from school - or anywhere for that matter.  Encouragement activities can be the easiest part of the program to start up, and the emphasis is on having fun!  A school/community can just choose one campaign, several, or create their own.

The SCBC/Safe Routes to School program provides technical support & resources for a number of encouragement campaigns.
